Rather than delivering standalone solutions, VHASPETH SOCIAL FOUNDATION looks forward to designing a 3600 approach that offers realistic solutions for the society. Our aim is to create an equal platform at the grassroots level that empowers women, and underprivileged people to be self-dependent. The basic concept of our foundation is to minimize the gap between the 'India vs Indians' or 'Mind vs Mindsets'. We have identified five elements that play a crucial role in benefiting society.
Child centredEducation: while the world boasts about global educational institutes, we often forget that India had the world's first University (Takhsila, now in Pakistan) and ancient Nalanda University. The Government of India is running various programs like 'Samagra Shiksha', 'Mid Day Meal' and more but the question is -why are we still lagging behind?
To scale up the national literacy scorecard, as a responsible individual of the Indian Society need to ensure that these schemes reach up to the last child of India.
"The object of basic education is the physical, intellectual and moral development of children through the medium of handicraft"- Mahatma Gandhi
Women centredFamily: Mahasweta Devi, Aruna Roy, and Nivedita Menon are few pioneers who have steered the revolution for change in India. The most unique thing about our country is the entire population of 1.3 billion citizens abiding by the Indian Constitution.
The constitution is not just a set of rules, it is a collective effort to ensure every Indian irrespective of caste, creed, colour, or sex is treated equally. The Foundation is committed to bring the woman to the spotlight and transform them as the epicentre of society.
"Make an attempt to tear the curtain of darkness, see the reality that lies beyond and see our own true faces in the process" -Mahasweta Devi thought.Human-centredDevelopment: Every development should be human-Centric and not process-Centric. A human-centreddevelopment is a strategy that incorporates the social values of justice, sustainability, and inclusiveness and it is only possible when the Indian Society comes together.
"A human-centredapproach to innovation that draws from the designer’s toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success"- David Kelley, Founder of IDEO
Knowledge-centredSociety: What's more important -knowledge printed on books or knowledge imparted that helps to strengthen the society? One of the primary reasons for not having equal knowledge is our traditional approach. However, we are not here to change the system, we are here to assist the system by identifying and empowering the common people of India.
"Learning gives creativity. Creativity leads to thinking. Thinking provides knowledge.Knowledge makes you great"- A.P.J Abdul Kalam
Innovation-centredIndia: Prathap NM, a 22-year Karnataka lad has designed over 600 drones and currently is working with India's DRDO for drone application. These minds are the 'Future of India' and Prathap is not alone. There are countless innovative minds that need a direction to work on. Emphasizing on transparency and accountability, VHASPETH SOCIAL FOUNDATION stands tall to empower the future of India.
"The science of today is the technology of tomorrow" - C.V Raman
